A new series of pyrano-chromene and pyrimido pyrano-chromene derivatives were synthesized starting from 2-amino-4-(1-naphthyl)-5-oxo-4H,5H-pyrano[3,2-c]chromene-3-carbonitrile (6). The structures of the synthesized compounds were elucidated by spectral data. Compounds 611, 1315 and 18 have been selected for an inhibitory activity screening against HIV-1 and HIV-2 in MT-4 cells.
Key words: Anti-HIV Activity, Chromenes, Pyrano-chromenes, Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors (NNRTIs)
